Golf Tournament – On Sept. 28th the Waldorf Moose 1709 and the Not Forgotten Foundation will be hosting their first golf tournament. Please find all the information in the social quarters. We are looking everywhere for hole sponsors. If you have any questions don’t be afraid to ask your Governor Jimmy Williams. As of today, we have nine teams that have paid and supplied us with their information. Come on guys we need more teams to reach our goal of paying our roof loan.

Mid-winter convention booster is at the bar. $1.00 will get your name in the convention booklet as a goody, goody two-shoe member.

Also, please consider joining the Moose Legion. The Moose Legion provides financial support for our seniors at Mooseheaven. Lodge 1709 members that join the Moose Legion will receive a Moose Legion shirt. Limited time only.

The lodge’s new venture: Hopefully in September we will be donating our hall at least one Monday evening a month to a local group call HEALING WATERS, FLYFISHING. Just a little summery here ABOUT PROJECT HEALING WATERS
Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing (PHWFF) began in 2005 serving wounded military service members at Walter Reed Army Medical Center returning from combat in Iraq and Afghanistan. Since then, PHWFF has expanded nationwide, establishing its highly successful program in Department of Defense hospitals, Warrior Transition Units, and Veterans Affairs Medical Centers and clinics.
Project Healing Waters brings a high-quality, full-spectrum fly fishing program to an ever-expanding number of disabled active military service personnel across the Veterans Affairs Healthcare System, in Military Hospitals and the Warrior Transition Command. We focus our resources wherever the need is greatest and expand our partner base in the process. PHWFF has become recognized as an innovative leader and model in the field of therapeutic outdoor recreation for the disabled, through its successful application of the sport of fly fishing as a rehabilitation tool.
